College Level Exam Program (CLEP)

Please note that appointments for CLEP exams must be made at least 24 hours in advance

Students can take an online test and receive college credit for various courses. This allows the student to decrease the amount of time it might take to earn a degree. For a complete list of courses for which credit is given, as well as which ones are accepted at Aiken Technical College, see the CLEP online brochure.

Students may take each test only once and pass to receive credit for courses. Tests are given by appointment during regular Center hours. The student will need to bring a valid government-issued ID and voucher number from CLEP, when they come to the Center to take their test.

To register, you will need to call the ATC Test Center, 803-508-7488, 24 hours in advance to schedule. The fee for the CLEP test is $85.  You will need to come to the Learning Commons, Room 1001L to complete payment for the proctor. Then the testing will be administered. Testing hours are the same as open hours, closed holidays.

Please note that all persons wishing to take the CLEP must register with CLEP first, where you will receive a voucher number. Then you will need to make an appointment with ATC and provide that voucher number. Both of these registrations must be done prior to showing up to take the test(s). To register, visit CLEP.

Schedule a testing appointment by visiting https://www.registerblast.com/atctesting.
