Cyber Power Camp: Mars Rover Mission Edition

This summer, rising eighth through 12th graders can explore their interest in technology during the Cyber Power Camp: Mars Rover Mission Edition at Aiken Technical College! This immersive camp is designed to spark creativity and innovation while building hands-on skills in coding, robotics, and tech problem-solving.

 

Camp Details

Dates: June 9–13, 2025

Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Location: Aiken Technical College, 2276 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829

Focus Areas: Coding, robotics, and tech innovation

Participants will collaborate on a thrilling Mars Rover mission project, gaining skills to power their futures in technology!

Participants selected for the camp must:

  • Pay a $25 registration fee and

  • Complete an information sheet by May 16, 2025

Camp FAQs

Those interested in participating in the camp should meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

  • Will be enrolled in 8th through 12th grades in the 2025-2026 school year
  • Proficient in algebra or higher-level math
  • Indicate a strong interest in computer technology or robotics

Applicants will be notified via email and mail by May 1 indicating whether they have been selected to participate in the camp. Those selected will be provided information about the next steps, including payment of the $25 camp participant fee.

The Cyber Power Camp is led by faculty in our computer technology program, who are experts in the fields of computer programming, computer networking, cybersecurity, and more. Additional faculty may also provide instruction during the week.

The faculty will be assisted by student coaches, who are current Aiken Technical College students or recent Aiken Tech graduates.

All camp activities will occur on the campus of Aiken Technical College, with Building C being the primary location. (See campus map)

No transportation is provided for the camp. Camp participants must be dropped off and picked up from Building C. There will be a sign-in and sign-out process.

The camp will be held Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Camp participants may be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. There will be a sign-in and sign-out process.

Camp participants are expected to attend all five days of the summer camp for the duration of the camp each day.

Student Coaches Needed for Camp

Join the mission to inspire future STEM leaders by being a student coach for the Cyber Power Camp!
