Patricia Williamson Faculty Member of the Year

Aiken Technical College’s Patricia Williamson received the 2023 Faculty Member of the Year Award with over 25 years of experience in the medical field.

Williamson is an instructor in the School of Nursing at Aiken Tech and has been employed at the college for the last 4 years.

“I feel so honored and privileged,” Williamson said.

Williamson said she was not expecting to receive this award. She loves “building the next generation of nurses that will care and impact the community” the most about her job.

“It is an organization that is building a community of professionals and proficient workers. It is a family that is willing to work together to accomplish a common goal. We take pride in what we do and try to bring out the best in people,” Williamson said about Aiken Tech.

Williamson always has time for her students and makes sure she encourages, listens, and guides them. She is also active on campus and participates in organizations such as the Green Team, the Student Nurses Association, and the United Way Committee.

“I would not be who I am without those people who poured in me, so I try to do the same for others. Thanks to my husband and sons for all of their support, the people that I have touched to receive this award, and God for always guiding me. Thank you,” Williamson said.
