Employment: Payroll Business Partner at ADP

What does it mean to have tuition and fees covered?

“It means a lot, actually. I am a single mother of four, so I take care of them all by myself, and then I work full-time at ADP. To have this available, and it doesn’t cost us anything, is actually very amazing, and it lets me know that there are ways for single moms to further themselves without having to have something else on their plate, asking, “how am I going to pay for this? How am I going to pay for that?” This is a way for us to make more money without it really being a burden on how we’re going to get it paid for. I think it’s very sweet.”

What interested you in the program?

“When I got my bachelor’s degree, it’s actually in social work, the STEM idea scared me a little bit. But then getting into ADP and seeing how much tech and network and security affects what we do, even in the payroll realm, I thought, “how can I better serve my clients and ADP if I get something in this background?” And, of course, the money’s in tech because it’s always evolving. ADP just came out with the AI program that they’re doing to help us in payroll and people who are client-facing. So, it was just for me to get a better understanding of that so I could help my clients at ADP.”
