Jennifer Curtis appointed to Aiken Technical College governing board

The South Carolina Governor’s Office has appointed Jennifer Curtis to the Aiken County Commission for Technical and Comprehensive Education, the governing board for Aiken Technical College.

Curtis recently retired from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions as its senior vice president and general counsel, a role she held for 12 years. In that position, she oversaw legal activities for SRNS in the execution of its Savannah River Site management and operations contract.

Her career spans over 40 years of working as counsel for organizations such as Fluor Corporation, New York Power Authority, and the Metro North Commuter Railroad.

Curtis has also served the community in various roles, including a decade on the board of the Center for African American History, Art, and Culture. She serves as chair of the board, where she has led renovation and construction efforts, management, and operations for the center.

The Aiken County Commission for Technical and Comprehensive Education members serve in four-year terms and can be reappointed at the end of each term.
