Continuing Education: Veterinary Assistant
Enroll in our veterinary assistant course to learn how to interact with clients and their animals, provide assistance during examinations, administer medications, and perform other basic animal healthcare duties. The course will be held from February 6 through April 18 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.

During the course, participants will learn:
- Correct restraint positions
- Common sites for blood collection
- Obtaining temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Prescriptions
- Basic anatomy of dogs and cats
- Administering medications
- Frequent medical problems
- Animal dental procedures
- Receptionist duties
- Radiological duties
- And more.
The course consists of 102 hours, including 30 hours of required off-campus clinical training and several Saturday field trips.
