Continuing Education: Between the Ears Study of Horse Psychology

Aiken Technical College is partnering with the Horsemanship Academy to present a new continuing education course, Between the Ears: A Study of Horse Psychology.

The course will be held April 20 through June 1. Students will have two in-person sessions (on the start and end dates of the course), and the remaining lectures will be online.

During the course, students will gain insights into their horse’s behavior and thoughts, learn effective communication techniques to build understanding and connection with their horse, and develop tools and techniques to achieve their horse-related goals.

Six topics will be addressed:

  • Nature of Horses
  • Herd Dynamics
  • Horse Personalities
  • Applications to Your Horse
  • Socialization and Connection
  • How to Create a Herd of Two
