Continuing Education: Basic Motorcycle Rider Course

The Basic Motorcycle Rider course is designed for individuals with little to no riding experience and teaches basic motorcycle riding techniques. Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

The course will be held October 20-22 (Friday: 6-10 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.). The course fee is $350. Contact the Enrollment Services Center at (803) 508-7263 to enroll. Participants must be eligible for a motorcycle driver’s license (minimum age: 15 years) and must be able to ride a bicycle to participate in the course.

Bikes are provided for the course. Students completing the Basic Rider course qualify for a South Carolina motorcycle license waiver. License waiver valid in South Carolina only.
