Aiken Technical College Receives 2024 PEBA Partners Award

The PEBA Partners award program recognizes employers that set the bar for workplace well-being programs across the state.

For a third time, Aiken Technical College’s Human Resources Division is honored to receive the 2024 Overall winner for the PEBA Partners award program.

“We believe that prioritizing health and wellness is essential for a healthy, thriving, and progressive College culture. We aspire to encourage all employees to make their personal wellness and health a top priority!” said Sylvia Byrd, Vice President of Aiken Technical College Human Resources.

Aiken Technical College has won the Overall Winner PEBA Partners award in 2021, 2022, and 2024. In addition, the college won the Higher Education winner award in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2023.

"Aiken Technical College recognizes its employees are its greatest asset. The College’s wellness program aims to assist employees in achieving all of their needs, both physical, social, and emotional, by creating a supportive environment that prioritizes health, flexibility, mental health, and work-life integration," Byrd said.
