Aiken Tech, Savannah River Mission Completion to host completion ceremony for nuclear operator apprentices

Aiken Technical College (Aiken Tech) and Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) will host a completion ceremony for over 60 nuclear operator apprentices on Thursday, August 8 at 3 p.m. in Aiken Tech's amphitheater (Building 700).

The Nuclear Operator Apprenticeship program offers the apprentices an opportunity to gain on-the-job practical skills through SRMC while learning nuclear fundamentals from Aiken Tech instructors. Those successfully completing the apprenticeship program are hired by SRMC.

During the ceremony, participants and their guests will hear from leaders from Aiken Tech and SRMC, a fellow class speaker, and receive certificates of completion.

The Nuclear Operator Apprenticeship Program has been registered nationally and with the state with the guidance of Apprenticeship Carolina™ (AC), a division of the South Carolina Technical College System, which leads South Carolina in registered apprenticeship programs that help businesses and communities thrive economically.
