Tell us about your experience as a Metallica Scholar.
Being a Metallica Scholar has been an incredible opportunity for me. I am immensely grateful for the chance to take two qualification exams in my field of study even before graduating. This experience has not only accelerated my academic journey but has also deepened my understanding and passion for my chosen field. It's a privilege to have early access to these exams, and I am eager to apply the knowledge and skills I've gained as I continue to pursue my education and career goals. I am truly thankful to Metallica and everyone involved for their support and belief in my potential.
What plans do you have?
At the moment, my plans are focused on gaining valuable experience and expanding my knowledge in the cybersecurity field. Coming from a background in army infantry and dental assisting, I recognize the importance of building a solid foundation in cybersecurity through hands-on experience and continuous learning. My immediate goal is to immerse myself in various aspects of cybersecurity, taking on roles that allow me to apply my skills and learn from seasoned professionals. By dedicating myself to this journey of growth and exploration, I aim to gradually carve out a path that aligns with my long-term career aspirations in cybersecurity.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my resilience during challenging times. Despite facing difficult circumstances and battling with depression, I made a conscious choice to take control of my life and pursue meaningful goals. Instead of remaining stagnant, I decided to push myself forward and actively seek out opportunities for personal and professional growth. This journey has not been easy, but through determination and perseverance, I have been able to overcome obstacles and continue moving forward. I take pride in the strength I've found within myself and the steps I've taken to create a better future.
If you could tell the band (Metallica) “thanks,” how would you say it?
