Tuesday, December 3 is GivingTuesday, a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity! GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity.
We invite you to make a generous gift to the Aiken Technical College Knights Corner Food Pantry to celebrate GivingTuesday! Your gift will have an impact on our amazing faculty and students.
The Knights Corner Food Pantry is funded partially by a grant set to end later this month. This food pantry, supported by donations, serves students, faculty, and staff. Established through a collaboration between the Foundation and the Office of Student Success and Retention, the pantry was created to address the growing issue of food insecurity on campus. It offers a resource for those in need, aiming to ensure that everyone in the campus community can access nutritious food and focus on their academic and professional goals without the added stress of food scarcity.
Following national data trends:
-
Out of 370 community colleges in 42 states, 60% of students experience basic needs insecurity.
-
One in four undergraduates experience food insecurity.
-
One in seven community college students experience homelessness.
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift, no matter the amount, which will help countless individuals on the ATC campus gain access to nutritious food needed to center their attention on their educational and career goals.
